Users
  1. How can I create an account?
    Simply got to main page of Logline and click on Sign Up – you will need to provide you real name and surname, your email address and your password. When registering please also provide your time zone and give consent to receiving notification and newsletter emails
  2. Do I have to create a portfolio?
    When creating an account you can choose to create your profile. If you want to be searchable and want to show your skills and experience that option is for you. If you’re registering just to post your own offers, you can opt out from creating a portfolio. You can always fill out the data at a later stage.
  3. I forgot my email/password, what should I do?
    On the main page of Logline click on “Sign In” and next on “Forgot my password” next follow instructions on screen
  4. How can I change my email address?
    After singing in, roll over on your picture in the top right corner, next click on “Settings”, on the new page click “change my email address”
  5. How can I edit my profile?
    To edit your portfolio, after signing in, simply go to your profile by rolling over mouse cursor on “People” and then clicking on “My Profile”, each position on the new page is editable, to edit, simply click on it. To save your changes click on “Save” button directly under the section you are editing.
  6. How can I look for other people?
    After logging in, click on “People” on the top menu bar. There you will get access to the list of all users, without any restrictions. You can filter the results using many different criteria like location, profession and many more.
  7. How can I find my colleagues?
    We’re working on importing contacts from Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to make this process as simple as possible. The feature will be available in early 2016
  8. Can I block others from sending me messages?
    If you don’t want strangers to send you messages inside Logline, you can block them by going to Settings and un ticking the option “allow strangers to send me messages”
  9. Can I switch off notifications?
    You can switch of the notifications and actions for both inside the app and email. To do this go to settings and untick the corresponding option.
  10. How can I close my account?
    We are really sad to see you go, and would like to know where did we do wrong? To make the product better in the future please share with us your opinion about Logline. If you still believe we can’t fix what you didn’t like you can go to settings and click “Deactivate my account”. Removing your account will mean removing your attached studios, castings, job offers and orders. To make sure this is what you want to do we will present you with a list of studios that will get removed and an option to assign the studio to someone else.

 

Company accounts
  1. How can I start an account for my company?
    After creating your personal account go to “Studio” on the top menu bar, and click “Create Studio”. A studio is your company’s account, you can transfer the ownership of a studio to other users, and add administrative rights to other collaborators. With studio you can manage your projects, create casting calls and job offers.
  2. What from my studio others can see?
    At the moment no one will see your studio directly. Your studio name and logo will only be visible when you will post a casting call or job offer. Starting from early 2016 other’s will be able to see your studio’s name, description and logo. Other users will also be able to see a list of all the public projects attached to the studio.
  3. How to add studio’s experience?
    At the moment you can’t To show your company’s past experience In early 2016 you will be able to add past projects to be shown on your company’s page.
  4. How to add studio members?
    To add collaborators to your chosen studio, click on “Members” in the menu on the below your company logo. On the new page click, “Invite new user”. After you will start typing the name a list of suggestions will appear, with your connections appearing first. After choosing the user you desire click on “Invite User”. You can always cancel the invitation from the “Invited users” list.  A user invited to the studio does not get automatically invited to studio’s project, so make sure to add him to those as well.
  5. How to change member’s access level?
    Each studio member can have Administrator status or User status. Users with administrator status get the same rights in managing the studio projects, and users as studio owner does. Only owner however can change studio’s ownership and can remove the studio. Make sure to only give administrator privileges to users you can trust. By granting administrator privileges you are giving the member access to all of the studio projects, even the ones that he was revoked the access from before.
  6. How can I remove studio member?
    To remove a studio member go to the chosen studio, in the menu on the left side of the screen, under “Studio menu” choose “Studio members”. From the list that will appear on the screen remove members that you no longer wish to be a part of the studio.
  7. What does a member see in the studio?
    Before you give a member an access to any specific project he will only be able to see: List of studio projects, studio members. You can give access to studio contacts and job offers to specific users.
  8. How do I change studio ownership?
    To change studio ownership simply go to your chosen studio’s dashboard, rollover on the gear on the right side of the screen and click on “Studio Settings” and change from the list choose the user you want to give the ownership to. You can only give ownership to users that are already studio members. After giving the ownership to another user, you will lose this status and become a normal studio member with administrative privileges. Please notice that by giving another user the studio ownership this user will grant access to all of the studio projects, even the ones that he’s access was revoked from before. Changing studio ownership is final and cannot be rolled back. We don’t have tools to make this change back again for you, so please make sure you are only giving the ownership to users that you can trust.
  9. How can I leave a studio?
    If you don’t want to be a member of a studio any longer simply go to the chosen studio’s dashboard. Rollover on the gear icon in the right corner of the dashboard and click “Leave studio”. Please note that by leaving a studio you will also leave all of the projects attached to the studio. If you are a studio owner to leave the studio you will first have to transfer studio’s ownership to another user. If you are the only member of the studio you can just simply remove it from the same menu.

 

Projects
  1. How can I start a project?
    Projects can only be created underneath studios. To create a project click on “add new projects” on the left side of studio dashboard.
  2. What parts of project are publicly visible?
    If a project status is set to private, everything about it will be only visible to studio members. If the project is set to public, everyone will be able to see projects name, description, profile picture and background, and project’s documents. Only project collaborators however will be able to edit any of the project’s contents. At the moment all added projects are private. We will introduce the option to set project’s status to public in early 2016
  3. How can I make the project private?
    All projects are set to private on default.
  4. How to add collaborators to a project?
    To add a collaborator to a certain project, go to the chosen project and from the menu underneath your studio logo choose “Collaborators”. On the new page click “Invite new collaborator”, start typing in the name of the person you want to add, and click on the right suggestion. Next click on “Send invitation”. Each invitation needs to be first accepted by the user, for him to be added to a project. Adding a user that was not previously a member of the studio will also add him to the member list of the studio that is parent to the project. 
  5. How can I set collaborator’s permissions?
    Each newly added collaborator will only be able to access the projects dashboard and members list. To set specific tools permissions go to collaborators list, and next to the chosen collaborator click on “permissions”. For each of the tools you can either give the edit access, the view access or you can deny access.
  6. How to remove collaborator from project?
    To remove a collaborator from a certain projects, go to the chosen project, and from the menu on the left choose “Collaborators”. From the list that will appear on the screen, choose the collaborator you wish to remove and click “remove” next to him. Removing a collaborator from a project will not remove him from the list of studio members and from other projects. To remove a certain user from all projects, you can rather delete him from the members list, which will remove him from all the projects he was added to.
  7. How to create a concept?
    When you create a project, all the tools are ready to use, the concept is created and you just need to add the cards you want. To reorganize the cards simply drag and drop them to their new positions.
  8. How to generate a script based on a concept?
    You can generate a script based on the concept you have crated. Each card from the concept will become a new scene in the script. Generating a concept will overwrite everything that was stored in the script so be careful when using this option.
  9. How to work on a script?
    Logline provides you a great tool to write your script. When you see the tool you should feel at home, we’ve implemented all industry standards so you could start your work right away.
  10. Can I import my Final Draft (FDX) or PDF files?
    Currently we do not offer an option of importing the script to Logline, but we are working on it. Please give us feedback on what other things you would like us to implement. The option to import script files will be introduced in early 2016
  11. Can I export my script to any other file?
    Currently we offer an option to export your script into a PDF file, but we are working on providing more ways to get your script out! To export the file, go to the script writer, and click the PDF icon in the top right corner.
  12. Can I import my script to storyboard?
    You can create your storyboard structure based on your script. To do that go to your script, rollover on the menu in the right top corner of the script writing tool and click “generate storyboard”. This will create the structure in the storyboard, however it will remove whatever was created before, so be careful when using that option.
  13. How can I create sides?
    You can choose to manually select the scenes you want to add to your side, or let us do that based on the characters present in the script.
  14. How do I remove a project?
    You can remove projects in two different ways either go to the studio dashboard and remove the project from the list of projects on the bottom of the page, or go to the project dashboard, and from the menu in the top right corner choose the option “remove project”

 

Castings
  1. How do I create a casting call?
    You can only create a casting call if you already have a studio and a project created. Once you know for what project and which studio you want to get your cast, go to the chosen project and from the project menu on the left side of the screen choose “Casting”. On the new page click “Create casting call” and follow instruction on the screen. The casting call you have just created will be stored as a draft, to make it publicly visible you need to publish it. After publishing you will not be able to make any changes in the call. To publish the casting call, from the menu on the right side of the call title choose option “Publish”, from this moment the casting call will be visible and users will be able to apply for it.
  2. Do I have to set deadline?
    Yes, you have to set a deadline for applications. Without this information our users would not know until they have time to apply, our database would also be full of outdated casting calls. After casting call’s deadline is reached it will get automatically closed and no new applications will be possible.
  3. Can I extend a deadline?
    Currently it is not possible to change the casting call’s deadline.
  4. Will the salary be visible to applicants?
    You can choose to set the daily rate to be visible for the candidates or to hide it from the users. You can set the daily rate as a range or as a single number.
  5. Can I restrict casting calls only to matching candidates?
    You can restrict the casting call only to matching candidates, which means that people that are not matching your requirements will not be able to apply for this casting call. The matching requirements include all of the additional and biometric data, and a matching candidate means only a candidate that fits all of the set requirements.
  6. How do I check applicants?
    Each time you will get a new application to your casting call you will receive a notification in your notifications center. You can check the whole list of applicants by clicking on the name of the applicant in the notification, or by clicking on “Show Applications” in the menu on the right side of the casting call page. Another option is to go the casting calls list and click on “Show applications” next to a chosen casting call.
  7. How do I accept an applicant?
    From the list of applications of a chosen casting call simply click on the chosen option for each of the candidates. You can either choose to accept a candidate, choose to reject him or make direct contact.
  8. How can I close my casting call?
    To close a casting call simply go to the list of your casting calls, or the casting call page, and from the menu choose “close”. Closing a casting call will trigger sending a notification to everyone that has applied for a casting call about its closing.

 

Jobs
  1. How do I create a job offer?
    You can only create a job offer if you already have a studio created. Once you know for studio you want to get your employee, go to the chosen studio and from the studio menu on the left side of the screen choose “Jobs”. On the new page click “Create job offer” and follow instruction on the screen. The job offer you have just created will be stored as a draft, to make it publicly visible you need to publish it. After publishing you will not be able to make any changes in the offer. To publish the job offer, from the menu on the right side of the offer title choose option “Publish”, from this moment the job offer will be visible and users will be able to apply for it.
